A month-long investigation led to the arrest of an Urbana man after authorities executed a search warrant at a local residence on Monday.
According to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, deputies—working in coordination with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Ohio Investigative Unit—served the warrant at a home located in the 4000 block of Post Road.
During the search, investigators reported locating and seizing evidence related to child pornography. As a result, Adam W. Longworth was taken into custody and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
Longworth has been charged with multiple offenses, including two counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, classified as second-degree felonies, as well as two additional counts of the same offense classified as fourth-degree felonies. He also faces a fifth-degree felony charge of possessing criminal tools.
Authorities noted that the investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed pending further review of the evidence.
The case is being handled by the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from state agencies.
