Several state highway projects are currently underway in Champaign County and may impact travel next week.

CONTINUING PROJECTS:
- State Route 296 Closure:
State Route 296 remains closed between Bates Road and Upper Valley Pike through Thursday, July 31 for bridge work.
Detour: U.S. 68 → Miami Street → Oakland Street. - State Route 29 Lane Restrictions (Mechanicsburg):
One-lane traffic continues between Railroad Street and Alison Road through July 2025 for resurfacing. Flaggers will maintain traffic. - State Route 4 Lane Restrictions (Mechanicsburg):
Single-lane traffic is in effect between Maple Grove Road and East Sandusky Street through the end of the month due to resurfacing. Expect flagging operations. - State Route 559 Lane Restrictions (Mechanicsburg):
State Route 559 is reduced to one lane between State Route 29 and Pleasantview Estate through the end of the month for road resurfacing. - State Route 507 Lane Restrictions:
State Route 507 between U.S. 68 and State Route 245 is down to one lane intermittently between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., now through September, for paving work.
UPCOMING CLOSURE:
- State Route 296 Closure (New Section):
A second closure on State Route 296 begins Friday, August 1, this time between Upper Valley Pike and U.S. 68, continuing through Thursday, August 21, for additional bridge work.
Detour: U.S. 68 → Miami Street → Oakland Street.
