If you’re driving through Champaign County this week, expect some delays from ongoing road projects.

State Route 296 will be closed between Upper Valley Pike and U.S. 68 until August 21st for bridge work.

You’ll need to follow a detour via U.S. 68, Miami Street, and Oakland Street.

State Route 507 between U.S. 68 and State Route 245 will have single-lane traffic with flaggers from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through September as crews repave the road.

U.S. 68 between U.S. 36 and the Logan/Champaign County line will also have lane restrictions from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., through October.

Later next month, State Route 29 will be closed between State Route 245 and Cemetery Road from September 2nd to 12th to replace a culvert.

The detour will take you west on State Route 29, south on State Route 235, east on U.S. 36, and then north on State Route 560.
