One local Sheriff’s Office is connecting with the community uniquely.
Chad Burroughs has been Champaign County’s Sheriff for nearly nine months now, and he says the transition has been both challenging and rewarding
The Sheriff says he’s working to connect with residents by sharing updates with the community on social media.
He says social media is an effective and cost-friendly way to do so.
Recent posts to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page have included school resource officer shoutouts, tips on evaluating your drinking habits, employee-of-the-month recognitions, promotions, mental health resources, traffic reminders, and even help-wanted ads.
The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office is committed to serving the residents of Champaign County with the highest level of professionalism and respect.
“From day one, I wanted to focus on building relationships and improving how our office connects with the public,” Burroughs said. “Social media is a key part of that—it’s an important way to stay in touch with our community.”
