A young boy was injured late Sunday afternoon after an incident in the pit area ahead of the Derbydog Demolition Derby at the Logan County Fair.
Emergency crews from Bellefontaine Fire and EMS responded quickly, and MedFlight was called in as a precaution.
The child was airlifted to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
According to fair officials, he is currently in stable condition.
“Our thoughts are with him and his family,” the Logan County Fair said in a social media post. “We are grateful to the first responders and medical personnel for their quick and professional care.”
The incident occurred shortly before the event was set to begin.
