Due to inclement weather, the History Center has canceled the open house on Sunday.
Todd McCormick from the Logan County History Center issued this statement:
“With inclement weather and dangerously cold temperatures, the Logan County Historical Society Board of Trustees feel for the safety of visitors and our volunteers that it would be best to cancel the final day of our Christmas Open House, Sunday, December 14, 2025. We apologize for this unfortunate but necessary decision. Many of the trees and rooms will remain up until December 21st. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. We thank Logan County for your continued support of the Logan County Historical Society and Logan County History Center.”

The History Center is bringing holiday cheer this weekend with its annual Christmas Open House, running Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Visitors can enjoy beautifully decorated Christmas trees and themed rooms throughout the museum and Orr Mansion.
School children, local groups, and organizations have contributed their own festive displays, while the History Center Christmas Committee has created a special Christmas movie theme on the second floor and ballroom of the Orr Mansion.
Guests are encouraged to vote for their favorite tree and decorated room during their visit.
Live music will be featured throughout the weekend.
Highlights include piano performances by Alicia Wilkins, Marie Wheeler, and Carol Burton on Friday evening; the Friendly Senior Center Choir and duets by Leanna George and Rebekah Heizer on Saturday; and performances by the Mad River Dulcimer Society, Popular Demand Quartet, and several local piano students on Sunday.
Guests can enjoy refreshments in the Presidents’ Room on the lower level of the museum, and Christmas craft kits will be available for children to take home while supplies last.
The Piecemakers Quilt Club will also be selling tickets for a chance to win a handmade quilt, with options for an Ohio State or Michigan-themed quilt.
Admission to the Open House is free, making it a perfect family outing to celebrate the holiday season.
