Preparations for our Christmas Open House continue at the Logan County History Center.

The staff and volunteers have been busy decorating the Transportation Museum and the Orr Mansion.

The museum hallways and the first floor of the Orr Mansion feature uniquely decorated trees and rooms by school children, various groups, and organizations.

When you visit, be sure to vote for your favorite Adult Christmas Tree, Kid Tree, and First Floor Room.

The second floor and ballroom of the Orr Mansion are decorated by the History Center Christmas Committee and are not part of the voting competition.

Adult hallway Christmas trees have been decorated by The Logan County Art League, Downtown Bellefontaine Partnership, Logan County Visitor’s Bureau and Chamber of Commerce, The Studio, West Liberty Garden Club, Bellefontaine Lions Club, Deep Roots-Renovations + Design Co., TCN Domestic Violence Program – Soteria House, Ledley Family Farms, Top of Ohio Patriots, Shawnee Springs, Eastern Star, The Homestead, Don & Margaret Hilliker YMCA, and the OSU Alumni Club of Logan County.

Kids trees include Loco Art, Ben Logan Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade, Shooting Sports Living History 4-H Club, and the Sunshine Center.

First Floor Orr Mansion Rooms have been decorated by:

Christmas at the History Center will be the first two weekends of December, the 2nd & 3rd and the 9th & 10th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Special evening hours will be on Friday, December 8th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

The trees and rooms take on a special glow after dark.

Craft kits will be available for children to take home and refreshments will be served in the Presidents’ Room on the lower level.

Located at 521 East Columbus Avenue in Bellefontaine, admission is free.
