It’s never too early to start thinking about the holidays, and for one group of ladies, it’s time for their annual Christmas Raffle.
The 9th annual raffle, organized by Kelley Yule, Darla Levan, and Kim Summers of Kelley’s Designer Loft in Bellefontaine, kicked off on October 1st as they began collecting items for their “baskets.”

Over the years, the raffle has raised more than $93,000, with every dollar staying in our community to help neighbors in need.
The money has supported a wide range of causes, including gifts for children, prescriptions for seniors, trips for local veterans to Washington, D.C., and donations to the Logan County Cancer Society and Recovery Zone.
Each year, the ladies collect new, unused donated items to fill themed baskets, which are then raffled off.
Popular baskets include men’s, beauty, cozy, wine, and gift card themes.
Donations are currently being accepted through October 16, giving the team time to prepare the baskets for the raffle.
The raffle itself begins on November 1, and the group will go live on Facebook to showcase all the baskets, share ticket costs, and highlight the value of each basket.
Ticket sales continue throughout November, with the raffle concluding on Thursday, December 4.
That evening at 7:00 p.m., Yule will again go live on Facebook for the raffle drawings.
“This event is really about giving back,” said Yule. “It’s amazing to see the smiles on people’s faces and know that our community is coming together to help one another. It’s a feel-good experience for everyone involved.”
The ladies each talk about why they continue this tradition every year:
From a single small basket in its first year, the raffle has grown into a cherished tradition, providing support and joy to families throughout Logan County.
Last year alone, $23.567 helped provide gifts, meals, backpacks, and other essentials, creating meaningful moments for those who need it most.
