The ceremony was held at the Logan County Historical Society, where participants were recognized for completing a series of interactive sessions led by department staff.

The program gives community members a hands-on look at how the police department works day to day.

Officers and staff lead practical training sessions that help participants better understand what goes into keeping the community safe.

Organizers say the academy offers real-world insight into modern policing, helping participants see both the challenges and responsibilities officers face on the job.

Officials thanked those who took part, saying their time and interest help build stronger relationships between the department and the community.

They add that strong community connections are key to effective policing.

Working together allows law enforcement to better respond to the needs of the people they serve.
