The office of the Service-Saftey Director for the City of Bellefontaine, Wes Dodds, announces a second round is tentatively scheduled for the annual leaf pick-up schedule:
- November 15 & 16: the Southwest sector
The city asks residents to please rake leaves as close to the street as possible, but not in the street or on the sidewalk.
To help the city keep its leaf collection on schedule and ensure the safety of both residents and city employees, residents are asked NOT to place leaves in the street or around parked vehicles, fire hydrants, or storm drains.
No other materials such as branches, brush, or trash can be picked up by the leaf machine, and bags will not be accepted.
Remember, by law, the regular refuse collection is not allowed to pick up leaves or any other yard waste.
