The timeless legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table may be more myth than history, but its themes of chivalry, honor, and love continue to resonate.

Now, audiences can experience the magic of Camelot—the beloved 1960 musical by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe—right here in Logan County.

The classic stage production opens this weekend at The Holland Theatre in Bellefontaine, with performances on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.

The story follows the young and idealistic King Arthur, played by Brian Timpe, whose vision for a just kingdom is challenged when his queen, Guinevere (played by Hannah Davis), falls in love with the noble knight Lancelot (portrayed by Michael Mallory).

Additional cast members include:

  • Chris Hildreth-Blair as Merlyn and a knight

  • Garrett Criner as Mordred, Arthur’s rebellious son

  • Anita Craig as Morgan Le Fey

  • Charity Zimmerman as Nimue

A few members of the cast joined WPKO’s Ken Keller on the Morning Show on Friday:

As Arthur struggles with matters of the heart and crown, the tale unfolds with humor, heartbreak, and unforgettable music.

Though the cast includes 21 performers, the story centers on Arthur, Guinevere, and Lancelot.

The production is supported by a talented behind-the-scenes team, including Michael Suman (orchestra director), David Buchenroth (vocal director), Suzanne Dennis (choreography), Rebecca Browning (costumes), and Nikki Burkhamer (makeup).
