Indian Lake High School recently named its Seniors of the Month.
Name: Kiersten Clem
Parents: Matt Clem and Holly Clem
School Activities and Awards: 4 years Varsity Football Cheerleading, 2 Years Basketball Cheerleading, 3 Years Competition Cheerleading, employed at McDonald’s of Russells Point
If I were principal for a day: If it was a nice day out I would make everybody go outside for the school day and enjoy the weather.
Favorite school memory: My favorite memory is my time as a teacher’s assistant with Mr. Snapp.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: I’m inspired by Mr. Snapp.
Lately I’ve been reading: Prospero’s Daughter
My advice to parents: Listen to your student’s needs when it comes to mental health days or needing catch-up days to an extent because it really does go a long way.
My biggest regret: Pushing myself too hard during my freshman and sophomore year and burning myself out by my junior and senior years.
Next year I will be: Attending Clark State part-time to work towards an Associates Degree in Ultrasound Technology, as well as working part-time.

School Activities and Awards: ILHS BPA Treasurer, 1st Place Payroll Accounting at BPA Regionals and 7th in State BPA contest, 4.0 Honor Roll
If I were principal for a day: I would have the school watch a bunch of good movies.
Favorite school memory: My favorite member is when we won in basketball against Urbana in triple overtime at home.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: I’m inspired by Coach Coburn, Mr. Tennant, & Quentin Tarantino.
Lately I’ve been reading: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
My advice to parents: Let your kids be themselves.
My biggest regret: I regret that I didn’t complete all the business classes that Indian Lake High School has to offer.
Next year I will be: Attending Wright State University Lake Campus to pursue a Bachelor’s in Financial Accounting.
