A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday for our area.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, the advisory warns of dangerously cold temperatures.
Residents are urged to take necessary precautions, such as wearing warm layers, limiting time outdoors, and ensuring that pets and the elderly are protected from the cold.
On Monday it will be sunny and cold, with a high near 8, with wind chill values as low as -17.
Overnight we will see increasing clouds, with a low around 0, with wind chills as low as -12.
Tuesday, we’ll see a chance of flurries before 2 PM, it’ll be partly sunny and cold, with a high near 6, including wind chill values as low as -14.
Overnight it’ll be mostly clear, with a low around -7 and, wind chills as low as -19.
Wednesday we’ll see a warm-up, it’ll be partly sunny, with a high near 16.
This cold snap comes as the region continues to experience winter weather conditions.
