The Logan County Commissioners marked a small but meaningful milestone Tuesday with the celebration of what they jokingly dubbed the “Great Wall of OSU.”
The wall, recently constructed inside the Logan County Solid Waste District building, officially gives the Ohio State University Extension Office its own enclosed, secure office space for the first time.
Until now, Extension staff had been operating in the open common area of the building, separated only by temporary partitions.
The new wall provides both privacy and a professional workspace for the team, which delivers important programming to residents throughout the county.
Commissioner Joe Antram spoke about the significance of the project and praised the Extension Office for its continued service to the community.
OSU’s Agriculture and Natural Resources agent Jacob King talks about the meaning of the wall for the office and how things are going now that he is getting established in the county:
Olivia Ruffner, the 4-H Agent, says this wall makes the office a better space:
The OSU Extension Office offers resources and programming in agriculture, natural resources, youth development through 4-H, nutrition, and community education.
