Versiti Blood Center of Ohio is encouraging residents across Champaign County to roll up their sleeves and donate blood during a community blood drive happening this week. The event will provide an opportunity for local donors to help maintain a strong blood supply for hospitals and patients throughout the region.

The Champaign Community Blood Drive is open to area residents who are willing and able to give. Donated blood plays a critical role in patient care, supporting individuals undergoing cancer treatments, recovering from surgeries, managing chronic health conditions, and healing from serious injuries or emergencies.

Every blood donation can make a meaningful difference. A single appointment helps ensure hospitals have access to the lifesaving blood products needed for patients when they need them most.

The upcoming Champaign Community Blood Drive will be held on Wednesday, August 19, at the community auditorium at 1512 S U.S. 68. Community members are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance, although walk-ins are welcome based on availability.

Appointments can be made by calling (937) 461-3220. Donors can also register online through VersitiDayton.org.

Versiti Blood Center of Ohio continues to rely on the generosity of community members to help meet ongoing patient needs. Residents who are eligible to donate are encouraged to participate and help support families, friends, and neighbors receiving medical care across Ohio.
