Logan County’s largest volunteer event is back and bigger than ever!

The 10th annual Community Care Day, hosted by United Way of Logan County, is set for Friday, August 22, 2025—and organizers are calling on local residents, workplaces, churches, and civic groups to come together for a day of service and community pride.

Each year, hundreds of volunteers fan out across Logan County to complete hands-on service projects that support local non-profits, parks, and government agencies.

From painting and landscaping to baking, cleaning, assembling, and building, there’s a project to match every interest and skill level.

Whether you’re a team of two or twenty, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact—while enjoying camaraderie and team-building in the process.

How to Get Involved as a Volunteer

  • Register by Friday, August 8- United Way will contact team leaders to begin coordinating project assignments. Volunteers will be able to select from a list of opportunities that match their interests and availability. Some projects may require personal tools such as gloves, hammers, or ladders.
  • On Community Care Day – Friday, August 22- 8:00 a.m. – Check in at Bellefontaine Grace Church (2220 S. Main St.) for a free breakfast and the official launch of the day—doubling as the kickoff for the 2025 United Way Campaign. By 9:00 a.m., volunteer groups will head to project sites across the county. Most projects will take between three to six hours to complete.

All volunteers will receive a Community Care Day T-shirt to wear while working.

Organizations: Submit a Project Request

Non-profits, parks, and agencies in need of extra hands are encouraged to submit a project request.

This is a great opportunity to bring in a volunteer workforce to tackle everything from yard work and deep cleaning to poster hanging, sorting, client services, and small construction tasks.

Multiple projects and teams are welcome, so think big—and let United Way help bring your wish list to life.
