Donations to United Way’s Indian Lake Tornado Relief Fund now surpass $1.5 million, as Community Markets presented the organization with a $26,053 check today.
The gift represents “point-of-sale gifts” customers made while checking out in stores throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky since the March 14 storm.
To date, 455 affected families have been provided with direct support from United Way totaling $1,197,566.71.
