Congressman Jim Jordan made a brief stop at the Landing in Russells Point on Tuesday morning to update members of the Logan County GOP.
Jordan highlighted several topics, including the National Guard’s presence in Washington, D.C., which he said has provided an added layer of security.
He says that vehicle break-ins are down more than 80% and that the overall sense of safety in the capital has significantly improved.
The congressman also shared that he is spending much of his free time traveling to support Republican candidates seeking election or reelection to various offices across the country.
However, Jordan voiced concern about the possibility of a government shutdown at the end of the month, calling it an issue that lawmakers will soon have to confront.

After the meeting, Jordan commented on his personal security while in DC and what his work means for Bob and Betty Buckeye:
Congressman Jordan will speak Tuesday evening at the Top of Ohio Patriots September meeting at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, doors open at 4:30 PM, and Jordan is expected to speak at 5:00 PM.
