Monday, just outside of Quincy, 77-year-old, Danny Woodard, from Indian Lake, was awarded several military medals and ribbons.
In a small quiet ceremony, Congressman Jim Jordan awarded Woodard the following:
- Bronze Star
- Purple Heart
- Air Medal
- National Defense Service
- Vietnam Service Medal
- Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon
- Expert Badge Ribbon
An Army veteran, Woodard served two tours in Vietnam, from 1966 to 1968, as a helicopter gunner and was wounded three times.
