Congressman Jim Jordan visited with constituents in Logan and Champaign counties Wednesday, discussing the upcoming election, data centers, and recent storm damage.
Jordan joined the Logan County Republicans for their monthly luncheon. He encouraged Republicans to get out and vote this fall, supporting candidates up and down the ticket.
Jordan also updated the group on his recent travels, saying he had been in eight states over seven days campaigning with fellow Republicans. He noted that he has spent 19 years in Congress and said he appreciates the continued support of his constituents.
Data centers were another major topic during the luncheon. Jordan encouraged residents to make their opinions known to their local and state representatives.
Jordan said he believes communities should have a say in where data centers are located and whether they want them in their communities.

State Senator Susan Manchester also attended the luncheon. She encouraged those in attendance to vote yes on Issue 3 in Ohio.
Issue 3 will appear on the November ballot as a proposed constitutional amendment concerning voter identification.
If approved, the amendment would enshrine Ohio’s current requirement that voters present photo identification when voting in person into the state Constitution.
The measure would make the requirement more difficult for lawmakers to change in the future.
Ohio already requires voters casting ballots in person to show an acceptable form of photo identification.
After the luncheon, Jordan traveled to Champaign County, where he attended the Champaign County Fair and toured areas impacted by Tuesday’s severe storms.
He was joined by State Representative Tim Barhorst and Deputies from the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, as well as members of the Champaign County Republican Executive Committee.
