The Ohio Department of Transportation has released its latest construction schedule for Champaign County, with several projects set to impact travel over the next few weeks. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and expect delays where flaggers are present.
New Impacts
- State Route 235 at U.S. 36 will be reduced to one lane from Wednesday, August 27, through Friday, August 29, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers as crews repair a culvert.
Continuing Impacts
- State Route 507 between U.S. 68 and State Route 245 will see intermittent single-lane closures weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through September. Flaggers will be directing traffic while repaving work continues.
- U.S. 68 between U.S. 36 and the Logan/Champaign County line will be down to one lane at times from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through October 2025. Crews are resurfacing the highway, with traffic maintained by flagging operations.
Upcoming Impacts
- State Route 29 between State Route 245 and Cemetery Road will close from Tuesday, September 2, through Friday, September 12, for a culvert replacement project.
- Detour: SR 29 West to State Route 235 South to U.S. 36 East to State Route 560 North.
