Friday, Washington Township Police and deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office went to a home on Kickapoo Path in Lakeview to serve warrants for 33-year-old Dawn Helton and 60-year-old Ronald Shoffner.
When authorities approached the residence, the couple attempted to flee, leading to a foot pursuit behind a nearby residence.
During the pursuit, Shoffner failed to comply with commands and resisted arrest.
He was eventually handcuffed.
Helton was also quickly detained.
The pair was then transported to the Logan County Jail.
Both are additionally charged with obstructing official business.
