UPDATE: Crash Halts Traffic on Sandusky; Burnside Cited

UPDATE: According to the Bellefontaine Police Department, Thomas Burnside, 71, of Bellefontaine, was stopped at the stop sign at the corner of Sandusky Avenue and Troy Road when he pulled his 2017 Chevrolet Silverado from the stop sign and hit a 2017 Ford Fusion, driven by Elisha Roth, 45, of Bellefontaine.

The collision broke off the left rear tire of the Fusion.

Roth was transported by the Bellefontaine Fire Department to Mary Rutan Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

Burnside was cited for a stop sign violation.

A two-vehicle accident Monday morning on the corner of West Sandusky Avenue and Troy Road in Bellefontaine led to traffic being redirected around the area.

Shortly before noon today a red pickup and a black Ford sedan collided, completely breaking the rear wheel off of the car.

No further details are available at this time.

The investigation into the accident continues.
