According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, a crash happened Thursday evening on State Route 117 just north of State Route 273.
Emmerson Brown, 95, of Bellefontaine, was driving south in his 2022 Chevrolet Equinox when he went left of center and collided with a 2010 Mercury Milan driven by Richard Wagner, 37, also of Bellefontaine.
After the crash, Brown continued off the roadway and hit a pole south of the intersection.
Wagner was not injured in the accident, but both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Brown was transported by EMS to Lima Memorial Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
His passenger, 79-year-old Marietta Huffman of Bellefontaine, was also taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries.
Brown was cited for failure to control.
