According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, a serious accident happened Wednesday morning on State Route 47 outside Bellefontaine.
Two vehicles collided after one driver reportedly lost consciousness at the wheel.
Quentin Evans, 24, of Piqua, was traveling eastbound in a 2013 Honda Civic when the crash occurred.
Andrew Sheriff, 45, of DeGraff, was heading westbound in a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado when his vehicle drifted off the right side of the roadway.
Sheriff then re-entered the road, crossed the center line, and struck Evans’ vehicle.
Evans was transported to Grant Hospital in Columbus with serious injuries, while Sheriff was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima with minor injuries.
Sheriff was cited for failure to control his vehicle.
DeGraff and Bellefontaine EMS assisted at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
