According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, a crash on State Route 47 Monday afternoon left one person with serious injuries and another with minor injuries.
Peyton Cox, 20, of Bellefontaine, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala westbound near Township Road 211 when he lost control of the vehicle, went off the right side of the road, hit a pole, and then crashed into a wooded embankment.
Cox was transported to Miami Valley Hospital where he was treated for what authorities suspect are serious injuries.
A passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Desiree Robinson, also from Bellefontaine, was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Indian Lake EMS, with minor injuries.
Authorities issued a citation to Cox for failure to control the vehicle.
The accident remains under investigation.
