Thousands of people packed downtown Bellefontaine Friday night for the annual hometown Christmas parade, filling the streets with holiday cheer despite the brisk temperatures.
The parade featured more than 70 entries, all making their way from the Logan County Fairgrounds through the heart of the city.

Twinkling Christmas lights illuminated the route as festive floats, costumed characters, and community groups brought the spirit of the season to life.
The cold weather did little to dampen enthusiasm, with families lining the sidewalks to take in the sights and sounds of one of Bellefontaine’s most beloved traditions.
This year’s event also included enhanced security measures.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Bellefontaine Police Department, and numerous Bellefontaine city workers provided extra support throughout the evening.
A SkyWatch Mobile Surveillance Tower was positioned on the north side of the Logan County Courthouse to increase visibility and safety.
According to Bellefontaine Service-Safety Director Wes Dodds, the Ohio Department of Homeland Security recommended the use of the tower, which was provided to the city at no cost.
ODHS personnel staffed the tower during the parade.
With a massive turnout, bright lights, and strong community involvement, the 2025 hometown Christmas parade delivered a festive kickoff to the holiday season in downtown Bellefontaine.
If you missed the parade, Nate Bope & April King co-hosted the event with a birdseye view while Lou Vito and Linzee Vito-Salmon took to the street.
