Culp and Shaner named Indian Lake Seniors of the Month

Indian Lake High School has announced its February Seniors of the Month, Matt Culp and Riley Shaner.

 

Matt Culp is the son of Greg and Susan Culp of Bellefontaine.

School activities and awards: Golf, Swim, Key Club, Science Club, National Honor Society, Honda Achievement Breakfast, Chapter Degree in FFA

If I were principal for a day: I would improve the school lunches and make them free of charge.

Favorite school memory: My favorite memory is Mr. Snapp’s morning talks.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: I’m inspired by Isaac Bennett and Mr. Dave Snapp.

Lately, I’ve been reading: The Bible

My advice to parents: Tell your kids to get involved in as much as they can.

My biggest regret: I regret not participating in more school activities.

Next year I will be: Attending a 2 or 4-year college in an Agricultural field

 

Riley Shaner is the daughter of John and Nikki Shaner of Lewistown.

School activities and awards: Soccer, National Honor Society, Buckeye Girls State, Honor Roll

If I were principal for a day: I would buy everyone a coffee or fun drink.

Favorite school memory: My favorite memory is playing trolls with Evie Wagner in kindergarten during inside recess.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: I’m inspired by Erin Gruwell.

Lately, I’ve been reading: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and Freedom Writers

My advice to parents: Make your kids do things such as sports and clubs.

My biggest regret: I regret not participating in more activities in school.

Next year I will be: Attending Bowling Green State University getting my major in Inclusive PreK-5 Education
