A Dayton man was cited for boating under the influence on Indian Lake last Friday evening.

Nathan Power, 44, was also cited for speeding on the water.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Watercraft stopped Power during a routine patrol.

Power appeared in Bellefontaine Municipal Court on Wednesday morning and pleaded not guilty.

He is scheduled for trial on October 21 at 1 p.m.

Authorities remind boaters that operating a vessel while intoxicated carries serious penalties, similar to drunk driving on the road, and urge everyone to follow safety guidelines while on the water.
