The deadline to apply for financial help through United Way of Logan County’s Tornado Relief Fund is Friday, May 31st.

As of Thursday afternoon, $1,285,095.96 has been distributed to help 490 households (1,100 tornado victims).

- 250 home insurance deductibles – $355,051.72
- 175 home repairs – $311,957.66
- 122 rents for new or existing housing – $176,646.22
- 75 utility bills – $25,855.12
- 67 mortgage payments – $70,677.60
- 65 auto insurance deductibles – $47,400.17
- 50 car repairs – $53,394.06
- 42 security deposits for new housing – $63,686.33
- 42 car payments – $36,428.15
- 35 down payments on a new car – $71,685.05
- 26 hotel stays – $16,272.03
- 9 student hardship fees – $1,117.46
- 9 pet cares – $2,520.71
- 5 prescription medications – $821.40
- 79 “other” expenses, such as storage, generators, food, furniture, appliances, etc. – $51,582.28
