A DeGraff man was arrested Friday morning following a domestic violence investigation on West Miami Street.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a residence around 8:54 a.m.
A woman told deputies she had returned home from work and became upset after learning another woman had been inside her home the night before.
The woman said she confronted Eric Brown at a camper on the property.
She reported that Brown had been drinking and appeared intoxicated.
She said Brown followed her while yelling and calling her names, causing her to fear he might hit her.
According to the report, Brown approached her and shoved her shoulders.
She then slapped Brown in the face.
A neighbor heard the argument and came outside.
The neighbor told deputies Brown was approaching the woman aggressively while she was calling for help and stepped between them.
The neighbor also said the woman called 911 before Brown grabbed her phone and threw it.
Dispatchers reported hearing a man and woman yelling during the initial 911 call.
Another neighbor then escorted Brown back to his camper, and Brown later left the property.
The woman told deputies she was not injured and declined medical treatment.
Deputies later located Brown at an apartment complex in DeGraff, where he was found asleep in the front passenger seat of a vehicle.
Brown admitted he had argued with the woman but denied getting physical with her or taking her phone.
He said the argument started because she wanted the woman who had been at the home to leave.
During questioning, Brown turned around and placed his hands behind his back.
He was then arrested for domestic violence.
Brown was taken to the Logan County Jail without incident.
