Logan County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a driver Saturday night after reports of a vehicle driving erratically on U.S. 33 near State Route 540.

Deputies were called around 8:00 PM after witnesses reported a silver Ford Taurus without a license plate driving westbound and unable to maintain lanes.

Witnesses said the vehicle repeatedly sped up and slowed down, crossed over lane lines, and even drove partially off the roadway.

They called 911 when the vehicle almost went into the grass.

Deputies found the vehicle near County Road 57 and initiated a traffic stop.

The driver, later identified as Dorian Brown, 37, of Columbus, showed several signs of impairment and then failed field sobriety tests.

Brown initially denied drinking and stated he holds a commercial driver’s license.

He was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.

There, he was cited for operating a vehicle impaired and failure to use a turn signal.

Brown also refused to submit to a breath test.

He was then released to a sober driver.
