Friday, Logan County Sheriff’s detectives arrested 43-year-old William D. Sheets and 46-year-old Angela Boger following a drug-related investigation at Foundry Street in East Liberty.

Detectives initially went to the residence to serve an arrest warrant on Sheets.

He was found seated in a minivan with 37-year-old Andrea Smith.

During the encounter, Sheets attempted to hide suspected contraband in the vehicle’s center console and locked the minivan keys inside while resisting arrest.

He was taken into custody without further incident.

A search of the vehicle turned up a large amount of suspected crystal methamphetamine, unidentified white powder, drug paraphernalia, and multiple cell phones.

Smith was also arrested after contraband was found in her purse.

While being transported to jail, Smith lost consciousness and was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital,

She then admitted to taking methadone to avoid withdrawal symptoms while incarcerated.

She was released with criminal charges pending.

Angela Boger, Sheets’ live-in girlfriend and owner of the property, consented to a search of the home.

Detectives found suspected drugs and materials consistent with illegal drug manufacturing.

A residential search warrant was then executed, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of suspected narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and manufacturing equipment, including items testing presumptive positive for cocaine.

Sheets and Boger are both facing one count of illegal manufacture of drugs.

Additional charges, including tampering with evidence, possession of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia, are expected to be filed by the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.
