Monday, winter weather contributed to three accidents across Logan County.

The first crash occurred shortly after 9 a.m. when Hernan Ubaldo, 34, of Tipton, Mo., drove a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado south on County Road 187.

Stopping at a stop sign, he pulled into the path of a 2018 Ford Transit driven east on State Route 508 by Paul Schroeder, 42, of Sidney.

Both vehicles spun 180 degrees and ended up in the roadway.

Sarah Schroeder, 43, a passenger in the Transit, was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital by Mac-o-Chee EMS for minor injuries.

Ubaldo was cited for a stop sign violation, and both vehicles were towed.

Just after 12:30 p.m., Caleb Owens, 18, of St. Paris, lost control of his 2009 Acura TL on County Road 31 after hitting drifting snow.

His car went off the road and hit a fence.

Owens was uninjured but cited for failure to control his vehicle.

The car was towed.

Shortly after 12:50 p.m., deputies responded to a crash on the US 33 off-ramp at County Road 10.
