In front of family, friends, and coworkers, Logan County Sheriff Randy Dodds recognized two deputies for their life-saving actions during an incident at Adventure Trails Campground.
Deputies Paul Finfrock and Josh Core were honored during a brief ceremony Monday afternoon for their quick response to an emergency on Sunday, September 7th.
When the deputies arrived on the scene, they found two people struggling in the water.
Without hesitation, both deputies entered the water and successfully brought the individuals to shore.
Sheriff Dodds praised their efforts, calling their response courageous and a testament to their dedication to protecting others, even at the risk of their own lives.
Both deputies are seasoned in their field.
Finfrock spoke about why he does the work he does and shared insight into his daily duties.
Core said law enforcement is his life and described what it’s like to serve as part of the K9 Unit.
