Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has signed Executive Order 2025-07D, authorizing a series of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) initiatives aimed at helping at-risk families, supporting children, and strengthening workforce development across the state.
The order directs targeted funding to several organizations over the next two fiscal years—FY2026 and FY2027—with allocations supporting nutrition, housing, trauma recovery, mentorship, newborn care, pregnancy services, and basic needs for families statewide.
Funding outlined in the executive order includes:
• Brigid’s Path – Up to $190,000 per year for newborn recovery services and family support in 22 counties, including Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Franklin, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Shelby, Union, and others.
• Children’s Hunger Alliance – Up to $350,000 per year to expand food assistance programs statewide.
• Citilookout Counseling and Trauma Recovery Center – Up to $100,000 per year to support trauma-informed counseling services in Clark, Champaign, and Madison counties.
• Ohio Association of Foodbanks – Up to $250,000 per year to support statewide food assistance initiatives.
• Ohio Domestic Violence Network – Up to $490,000 per year to provide housing and transportation assistance to survivors of domestic violence statewide.
• Operation Warm – Up to $1 million per year to provide new coats and shoes to eligible children across Ohio.
• Pregnancy Resource Clinic of Clark County – Up to $190,000 per year to support mothers in Clark, Champaign, Greene, and Montgomery counties.
The governor’s office says these funds are intended to help stabilize families, address basic needs, and create healthier pathways toward long-term independence.
