According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Phillip Klass and 23-year-old Aaliyah Connelly were arrested after an incident involving gunfire Tuesday evening in Lakeview.
Deputies were called to the area of State Route 235 and State Route 366 around 5:10 p.m. after receiving a 911 call about a man shooting a gun at another person.
Deputies arrived and detained Klass and Connelly, who matched the descriptions the caller gave dispatchers.
Investigators say Klass was involved in a dispute with his former girlfriend and her new boyfriend.
During the argument, deputies say Klass pulled out a gun and fired at least one shot toward the boyfriend.
No serious injuries were reported.
The sheriff’s office says several witnesses were interviewed, and Klass admitted to firing several shots.
Klass was lodged in the Logan County Jail on a charge of having weapons under disability.
Connelly was also lodged and is facing charges of falsification and illegally bringing narcotics into the Logan County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected.
