A Fairborn man was arrested late Monday night after a domestic dispute at Indian Lake State Park.

Deputies were called to the campground on State Route 235 just before midnight after a woman called for help.

She reported that she had been assaulted and was hiding in a restroom.

When deputies arrived, they found the woman, and she told officers that 63-year-old Mark Humbert had punched and choked her during an argument inside his vehicle earlier in the evening.

She also claimed Humbert threatened to shoot her, saying he had multiple firearms in the car’s trunk.

Deputies found Humbert at a nearby campsite.

He denied hitting the victim, claiming instead that she had attacked him with a purse.

Deputies noticed he had redness near his eye but no bruising.

The victim told deputies that the assault began earlier in the evening while they were driving.

She alleged Humbert threatened to kill her and her family, referenced a firearm, and made statements about hiding her body.

Deputies noted several bruises on the victim, including injuries to her face, arm, and leg.

Humbert was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.

He is charged with Domestic Violence and Aggravated Menacing.
