As fall is on the horizon, school board races across Logan County are heating up with a full slate of candidates who have filed with the Logan County Board of Elections.
At the close of Wednesday, the following people have petitioned to have their names on the ballot this fall.
In Bellefontaine, five candidates filed to run for the Board of Education for two spots:
- Bryn Daring-Stewart
- William Flora
- Ricky Reed
- Joni Siler
- Karen Wilson
For the Benjamin Logan Board of Education, three to be elected to four-year terms and one to be elected to an unexpired term that would end 12/31/2027:
- Mark Himmeger
- Debra Johnson
- Deron King
At Indian Lake, two candidates are running for two spots:
- Shannon Reese
- Scott Staley
The Riverside Board of Education has five candidates, three to be elected to four-year terms and one to be elected to an unexpired term that would end 12/31/2027:
- Bradley Adams
- Duane Heath
- Janet Siders
- Joel Snow
- Mark Zumberger
For West Liberty-Salem, three candidates are in the running for three spots:
- Tim Lamb
- Amy Pratt
- Haleigh Woodruff
The Board of Elections will be meeting on August 21st to review and certify the successful petitions.
Write-in Candidates have until August 25 to file.
Voters will decide on these local education leaders during the November general election.
