A Belle Center woman is facing charges after a domestic disturbance and an incident at the Logan County Jail on Tuesday night.
Deputies were called around 8:45 p.m. to a home on County Road 23 for a report of an intoxicated woman causing problems.
A witness told deputies that 51-year-old Julie Angle had been drinking vanilla extract to get intoxicated and had slapped him and grabbed his arm.
Angle showed clear signs of intoxication and admitted to deputies that she had drunk the cooking extract.
Deputies noticed a scrape and bruise on Angle’s leg that she could not explain.
An ambulance was called after Angle was found on the floor with a bleeding lip.
EMS evaluated her, and she refused medical treatment.
Deputies reported that while trying to reason with her, Angle kicked a deputy’s hand.
She was then arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to the Logan County Jail.
Once there, authorities say Angle continued to be disruptive, allegedly punching an officer in the ribs.
She now also faces a charge of assault.
