A driver was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence after a deputy noticed erratic driving on U.S. Route 33 early Sunday morning.
The traffic stop happened around 1:18 a.m. near County Road 57.
A white 2015 Jeep Patriot crossed the fog line and continued driving erratically between the marked lanes.
The vehicle then took about 45 seconds to stop after emergency lights were activated.
Oscar Garcia, 40, of Spring Lake, North Carolina, was the only person in the vehicle and showed several signs of impairment.
Garcia then failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested and taken to the Logan County Jail.
At the jail, he blew a blood alcohol concentration test of 0.135 percent, above Ohio’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.
Garcia has a prior OVI conviction in North Carolina in 2023.
He was cited for OVI and given a mandatory court date.
