A Sidney man was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence early Saturday morning after a traffic stop outside Huntsville.

Just after midnight, Logan County Sheriff Deputies saw a silver Nissan weaving on State Route 117 near the State Route 366 merge.

The vehicle crossed over the fog line before quickly correcting and continued to drift in its lane as it neared the village.

The driver was then pulled over for a marked lane violation.

51-year-old John Spears showed several signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests.

He was arrested and taken to the Logan County Jail, where he agreed to a breath test.

His blood alcohol content was measured at 0.161—just over two times the legal limit.

Spears was cited for OVI and a marked lanes violation.

He was released to a sober driver and given a date to appear in court.
