A two-vehicle crash resulted in minor injuries Friday morning in Champaign County.
Just before 11:00 a.m. on April 16, troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Springfield Post responded to a crash at the intersection of U.S. 68 and West Herr Road in Salem Township.
According to an initial investigation, a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Tylar Jett, 26, of Urbana, was traveling south on U.S. 68 when it attempted to turn left onto West Herr Road. During the turn, the Silverado struck a northbound 2003 Jeep Liberty operated by Christina Caudill, 51, of Saint Paris.
Jett was not injured in the crash. He was determined to be at fault and was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn.
Caudill sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Health – Urbana Hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
