A 29-year-old Urbana man is facing charges after police say he was driving impaired with his two-year-old daughter in the vehicle during a Sunday evening traffic stop.
Just before 9:00 p.m., a Bellefontaine Police officer stopped a tan Chevy sedan on East Sandusky Avenue after it made an improper turn.
The driver, identified as Justin Levalley, admitted he did not have a valid driver’s license and told officers he had smoked marijuana earlier that morning.
Levalley showed several signs of impairment and failed several field sobriety tests.
He was taken into custody for operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) and child endangerment.
His two-year-old daughter and the child’s mother were passengers in the vehicle.
The child was released to her mother at the scene.
Levalley was transported to the Logan County Jail.
The case has been referred to Logan County Children’s Services for further investigation.
