A 21-year-old woman from Lewis Center, identified as Deanara Mbouge, was involved in a single-vehicle crash on US 33 just before 1 PM Thursday.
According to Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies, Mbouge was driving eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roadway.
The vehicle veered off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
Emergency responders from Indian Lake EMS were called to the scene and transported Mbouge to Mary Rutan Hospital for evaluation of possible injuries.
Following the accident, Mbouge was cited for failure to control her vehicle.
The crash caused heavy damage to her vehicle, which was later towed from the scene.
