According to the Bellefontaine Police Department, a woman was arrested early Sunday morning after a traffic stop on West Sandusky Avenue.
Shortly after midnight, officers observed a black Ford SUV weaving across lanes and failing to stop properly at a red light near Garfield Avenue.
The vehicle, driven by Rhonda Brown, 57, of Bellefontaine, did not initially respond to the officer’s emergency lights and briefly went off the roadway while attempting to pull over.
During the stop, officers noticed Brown showed several signs of intoxication, and she admitted to consuming alcohol while watching a football game.
Brown then failed several field sobriety tests.
She was arrested for operating a vehicle impaired (OVI) and transported to the Bellefontaine Police Department, where she was issued a citation and later released to a sober driver.
