Authorities from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 12600 block of County Road 153 in reference to a domestic complaint Monday afternoon around 4:00.
The male caller said his ex-wife, Susan Winiger, 57, had been drinking, had a knife, and threatened to kill him and herself.
The victim met with authorities.
He advised he was taking a nap when Winiger woke him up and made accusations toward him. He said Winiger grabbed a small steak knife from the kitchen and stated she was going to kill him.
Winiger then threatened to kill herself. He left the residence, called his daughter, and then contacted deputies.
The male stated Winiger had been drinking alcohol that day and is an alcoholic. He also said Winiger had threatened to harm herself in the past.
He advised they are no longer married but have been living together for around 5-6 years.
At the residence, authorities checked Winiger for weapons and none were found.
Winiger admitted to having a confrontation with her ex-husband. She also admitted she was going to hurt herself and that she drank around 5 beers on Monday.
Authorities located the knife on the bed, and it was seized and placed into evidence.
Winiger was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
She was lodged for Domestic Violence and Aggravated Menacing.
