A Bellefontaine woman was arrested Thursday afternoon after police responded twice within 20 minutes to reports of her yelling threats from her apartment window.
According to the Bellefontaine Police Department, officers were first called to a home on the 100 block of West Brown Avenue at 3:45 p.m. for reports of an intoxicated woman, later identified as 48-year-old Kerri Emrick.
Officers said Emrick was yelling from her second-story window as several neighbors gathered outside.
A witness told officers that Emrick had been drinking alcoholic beverages and refused to stop yelling.
When officers entered the apartment, they reported smelling alcohol and seeing open cans of Four Loko on the floor.
Emrick admitted she was angry and was given a warning for disorderly conduct before officers left.
At 4:05 p.m., officers were called back to the same address after a neighbor reported that Emrick had threatened to fight her.
Police again heard Emrick yelling from the window.
After speaking with witnesses, officers placed Emrick under arrest for persistent disorderly conduct.
She was then transported to the Logan County Jail.
