Emrick Charged with Strangulation and Domestic Violence; Dyer Charged with OVI

Monday, officers from the Washington Township Police Department were dispatched to a home in Russells Point for a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, officers met with a female victim who stated she was choked and struck by her boyfriend, Adam Emrick, 34 of Russells Point.

During the assault, Adam caused damage throughout the residence and used a knife to threaten to commit suicide.

The victim stated Emrick was withdrawing from drugs and believed that was part of the reason for the incident.

He was taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Jail and charged with strangulation and domestic violence.

Friday officers from Washington Township were on patrol on State Route 274 near County Road 61 and conducted a traffic stop on Gina Dyer, 56 of Lakeview for a marked lanes violation.

Upon making contact with Gina, signs of impairment were observed.

Dyer submitted to field sobriety tests and was subsequently placed under arrest for OVI.

She was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail.

Once at the jail, Dyer submitted to a breath test and her BAC was .145, almost two times the legal limit.

She was charged with OVI and marked lanes.
