An Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been issued for a 70-year-old woman from Urbana, according to the Champaign County Communications Center.
Ruth Watts was last seen around 6:30 a.m. walking away from her home on East Court Street and has not returned. Authorities say Watts is schizophrenic and not currently taking her medication, raising concerns for her safety.
Watts is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hooded coat, black shorts, and a red or yellow top, and is not believed to be wearing shoes.
Anyone who sees Watts or has information about her whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately or contact the Champaign County Communications Center at (937) 653-3409.
